GPS MAPPING SERVICES

Many organizations have a need for GPS mapping. Typically, the first question is whether to purchase equipment and train employees or to hire a service company to perform the GPS mapping service. There are good arguments for both.

It is easy find numbers to budget for the cost of GPS equipment and accessories. However, the most common under-estimated cost is that of initial and on-going training. Using GPS for mapping/surveying is a skill that takes time and training to develop. With today's low unemployment rate, time invested in an employee can be lost quickly when that person decides to take another job. Then you are challenged to hire or appoint another person to assume the responsibilities.

Our GPS Mapping services are for organizations that wish to outsource these responsibilities and for those organizations that have a "one-time" need for GPS mapping (e.g. mapping an infrastructure such as utility poles). We offer the following benefits:

-we use our own GPS equipment/software.

-we offer varying accuracies such as 5 meter, submeter and 1cm (or a mixture of all three).

-we travel world-wide.

-we have 10 years experience.

-we offer firm, fixed price quotations.

GPS TRAINING SERVICES

Accredited 2-day and 3-day workshops for both single frequency and dual frequency GPS. We use what we teach and we teach what we use. GPS-Mapping owns and uses high-performance resource-grade and survey-grade RTK equipment and mapping software in its course of business.

The Level I 2-day course is a thorough executive-briefing and hands-on instruction of how to use GPS for resource mapping. It also covers some basic GIS concepts and applications. Typically, are courses are held in association with colleges and universities and are open to the public. We have also provided many tailored, in-house workshops for organizations with specific needs.

The Level II 3-day course is a continuation of Level II that covers dual frequency GPS for high-accuracy resource mapping and land surveying. The Level I course is a prerequisite.

Our products: http://www.cmtinc.com/nav/frprod.html

We work closely with Professional Land Surveyors and resource mapping specialists to understand the most efficient way to use GPS in their operations. This advice can only come from an organization that uses the technology themselves.

GPS ANTENNA/DATA CABLES

In our operations, we have come to find out that a common maintenance problem in GPS mapping and survey systems are faulty antenna or data cables. Furthermore, it is amazing how much your equipment dealer will charge for  a cable. Some charge more than $250.00. We have equiped ourselves to be able to manufacture quality antenna and data cables at very good prices.

If you are tired of paying hundreds of dollars for cables, let us know what cable you need (which connector type, if possible, or at least what it is connected to) and we'll provide you a quotation. Our cables are guaranteed to work.
